Show Update 2014

Well, it has been along time ago, since I wrote something on DA, but 2014 is going to be a year of many highlights and so it's about time to write again. The first awesome great shows of the year were KOMMANDO SONNE-NMILCH in Hannover, the mighty FRANK TURNER & THE SLEEPING SOULS in Leipzig and not to forget the one return show of OMA HANS at SO36 in Berlin. In April the crazy finns of ELÄKELÄISET came to Hannover and did what they always do best. A Humppa party till the bitter end. I'm glad I made it to two shows of the German tour of THE BABOON SHOW and PASCOW. Hannover was already great, but the very last gig of the tour in Leipzig was totally insane. What a show and also DISCO//OSLO showed up again and played a killer set. Once every year the GROEZROCK festival in Meerhout, Belgium sets the standards for the annual festval season. This year they had another killer line up with these bands having been mine personal faves: LA DISPUTE, DESCENDENTS, H2O, NOFX, FABULOUS DISASTER, THE SMITH STREET BAND, SNUFF and THE CRO-MAGS. Many old bands, but most of them still rock harder than many of the newcomers. By the way and if I haven't told you before. THE OFFSPRING sucked, even if somebody else told you otherwise! 
Some of this year's next highlights will be 7SECONDS who will come over to promote their new hit album and even STIFF LITTLE FINGERS will come to Germany again and will hardly disappoint.
